BLACK RACE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHITE SUPERIORITY

"When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... For 400 years? That sounds like a choice, you were there for 400 years and it's all of y'all. It's like we're mentally imprisoned."- Kanye West (CNN Entertainment, 2018)

The world without doubt is an incredible place, comprised of numerous races, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanic and other races unmentioned here. However, the world today is a product of history, race relations have witnessed a crazy past that still hunts the present. Colonialism and slavery ended but not without leaving an indelible mark on the globe. The White race is unquestionably responsible for race imbalance globally, the quest of the White man for economic growth and stability did great harm to the world in form of slavery and colonialism, to the Whites it was about building economy not minding the effect on other races especially the Black race that suffered more.
There is no doubting the fact that the globe has moved on from her ugly past despite the challenges that comes with it. The Black race especially Africans seem

to have been psychologically battered by the past, most Africans relegate themselves to believing that whites are more superior, sensible and creative, to some Africans, the White man is perfect. Some Africans believe that working with a White man places them above others whether they are earning less. It is a pity that only few Blacks care less about the colour of their skin and chase their dreams without limit. Until Barrack Obama became the 44th President of the United States of America and the first Black to lead the White House in 2008, it all seemed impossible though Kiefer Sutherland projected it in his movie  titled 24.

Africans instead of moving ahead have decided to act dumb and blame their inabilities on slavery and colonialism. Africans need to start devising ways of making things work easily rather than praying all day and night to a God that I believe if not for His merciful nature would have wiped out the Black race for their dumbness. For instance, some Africans born in a wretched home grow up believing that they will make wealth and when you want to know how, you will hear them make statements like ‘’as long as God reigns, I will make it,’’ with less effort they believe a lot in miracles. The White man on the other hands works his ass out and despite having great knowledge about God, the White man prefers to pay less attention to religion for success in career not because God is not responsible for our progress but because God prefer we work hard. Also,

there is too much emphasis on Black power in TV commercials which I believe is in a bid to awaken the mind of the Black man but it does more harm than good. We hardly see adverts on White power because the Whites need not advertise their strength, their works do. Commercials on Black power portrays feeling of insecurity, Blacks do not need to sell their strength to the world via adverts,

our works should sell us. Nelson Mandela, Barrack Obama, Ben Carson, George Weah, Serena Williams, Tupac, Fela, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Genevieve Nnaji, Idris Elba amongst others hit great heights not by holding a Guinness drink bottle and dancing to a beat with the words ‘’MADE OF BLACK’’ boldly written on walls. This idea of Africa Unite is equally troubling, Kwame Nkrumah’s idea of United States of Africa and all the talk of Africa been one on the global front should be critically thought out, I am not of the view that Africans should war each other, but every part of Africa should think of ways to grow independently, there is the European Union but member states such as Britain and Russia would hardly come to terms with each other because they have different systems and ideas on development. Whites are not to blame for Africa’s woes, we are responsible for our problems. African leaders especially are a bunch of idealess, clueless, and senseless individuals. They embezzle funds meant for the public, the whites exploit their greed and strike economic relationships that harm the African populace and favour the whites, that is not wickedness, I would rather call it national consciousness on the part of the Whites. The disheartening part of the African story is that politicians that had their education in the western world return home to take up positions and embezzle funds rather than make efforts to introduce developments

seen in the western world like the Japanese does. Sometimes I wonder how the economic team of African countries come up with statistics despite the high level of embezzlement. In Africa, we have a continent that contributes less to the globe and still cry marginalization.Further, there is this crazy everyday line that Africans use while conversing with each other, statements like ‘’if it is the white man, it would be done this way and it is the best,’’ lines like ‘’I live like white people,’’ these are words that negatively affect our psyche as Africans, we should do things because we feel it is the right procedure not because Whites do it that way. A lot of Africans want to travel to European countries and places like America to do minor jobs that the income when converted to the currency of their country is quite big, that is equally not a bad idea but it becomes a bad idea when they travel out and forget their homeland, it becomes a bad idea when Africans travel out and choose to settle permanently as low lives in white countries. I equally want to travel out but not because European countries are the best place to live in but because I want to sell myself globally, whether I am offered a billion U.S dollars to end up in Africa, it would be very difficult for me because I want to reach out to the world, most Africans just want to make money abroad and return home or live abroad as low lives, that is incorrect. The world like I noted earlier is an incredible place, nothing is impossible, GOD HELP US.

  1. Your last 5 sentences struck a chord. I find it difficult to comprehend all those people who will want to go out there and live normal standard lives. Spot on!
